If you are using Twitter in your professional life, you probably don't want to communicate by furiously thumb-typing on your cell phone and receiving frequent text messages.

If you are a Outlook user, you can integrate tweets into Outlook with this free application.

Hi Joe,
It's tough to determine if social media outlets, such as Twitter and Facebook will increase revenue for a medical practice. But, they do increase visibility. Many patients use Twitter and Facebook to connect professionally and personally. They use these tools to refer others to their favorite OB/GYN, or their favorite dentist, for example. A medical practice should be ready for these informal referrals by having an optimized website, and a way to connect with them on Twitter or Facebook.
I'm at MarriageNFamily on Twitter. I have found it a great way to connect with potential clients and make professional contacts.
