I work for a Neurology group that has been up and running on eClinical Works for over the past year. I am wondering if anyone can give me any insight on how you manage your fee schedule(s) in eCW? Do you have one main fee schedule built in the system that generates all your group charges and what gets billed to each individual payer? Do you have all your payer fee schedules listed with their allowed amounts and a overall group charge for each procedure? I am trying to understand a simple and effective way to set up, monitor and maintain our fee schedule(s), as well as giving us the opportunity to develop an expected reimbursement report.
Also, how do you set and base your customary group charge for procedures? Do you base it on a certain percentage above Medicare or the highest payer?
