Wonderful retirement celebration

This week I attended a retirement celebration for one of the medical practice executives in my community. It was a wonderful gathering, the Minnesota MGMA members were there in force; the guest of honor was given the recognition he deserved. As various speakers talked about the course of his career I was reminded of how much change has occurred in his tenure, and how much more will happen in ours. I probably have another twenty years in my career (or more depending on my ability to save for retirement). What can I expect in these next years? How can I be prepared for what will come? I am reading a great variety of books, but they are published a lot faster then I can get through them. Conferences are helpful, listening to the speakers as well as other attendees. Business partners are great sources of knowledge, and willingly share what they know. Not everything is important, so we have to filter. I would like to know how others are staying current, choosing  selectively. What does that look like? What is working for you?
