Meaningful Use fact or fiction?

Well I know it is not fiction but is it clear?

I am the Clinic Administrator for a IM/FP clinic in Texas and we are on top of this.
I will get my Drs. their bonus if it kills me. The tough part is all the information that is not consistent.
Lot of information out there from different sources that are a little different in their interpretation.
We are confident that we will meet the requirements of 15 of 15 for the "Core" and 5 of 10 for the
"Menu" measures.
I have my office run the numbers every week to see where each practice is setting and where do they need improvement. Most of my Drs. are hitting the numbers. If there is a soft spot it is  in Measure #6 Allergy List and #9 Recording Smoking. The scores will be there we are just a bit short with a few practices.

We also realized early that it was our staff that held the key to success. I coach our nurses and MA daily and go over their scores with them each week.  We will get there. It is the way we practice medicine today.

Jayson,
I agree about the frustration with inconsistent information. One of the biggest sources of frustration among the doctors I work with (urologists) is the lack of quality measures available that apply to their practice population. Add to that the fact that many certified systems do not make the entire array of the MU quality measures available in their certified system dashboards. Finally, I worry about those who simply hit the "attest" button because they consider it virtually the same as the "By clicking this box, you agree to all the terms and conditions" response. I fear future reviews of early attesters may result in some payback of the incentives.
I applaud you in your approach to run the numbers every week. It sounds like a conscientious approach.
