Merging with a hospital

You are not going to merge with the hospital. You will be swallowed up. Your group will lose authority and will be considered like another department of the hospital (like housekeeping!!). Also, will they need a fancy administrator like you or will they be able to find a hospital person who will blindly execute the hospital's orders to your docs!!

Anytime a hospital uses the term "merge" consider it a head on collision. I once worked for an entity that was owned by a hospital, they do not know how to run a physician's office and they do not and will never understand patient flow and patient care. You will be dominated by a suit and they will eventually put their "own" in your position.
