We are a multi specialist group and have just adopted eclinical works are our EHR system. We did not meet the deadlines required by CMS for the e-prescribing incentive, with that we applied for the hardship exemption but I just found out that we were denied and they started to take back 1% of our eligible medicare charges. Has this happenn to anyone else? From what I am being told is there is no appeal process and we will take this hit for the entire year of 2012 even if we can successfully submit 25 unique patient encounters by June 30, 2012.
Anyone have an insight on this??
